Klissoura Gorge

The Klissoura Gorge is located close to Three Ekklisies, south of the village of Harakas. The area features numerous climbing sectors, with Klissoura Gorge (or just Three Ekklisies) being the largest. Climbing routes range in difficulty from 5a to 8a. It is shaded after 12:00, making it ideal for climbing year-round.

Approach
From Heraklion, take the main road to Archanes, then take the exit toward Kounavi/Katalagari. After you pass Harakas, continue until you reach the parking area (34.96196, 25.15315). From there, it’s a 2-minute walk to the upper sector: go downhill on your right, pass through the short fence, and continue left. To reach the lower sector from the upper sector, go downhill to your right. Both sectors are mostly in the shade after 12:00.
